    Suffering from writer's block :-(

Sorry folks...not much to say....suffering from writer's (or should I say Blogger's) block.

Did, finally, get a date for my mom's cortisone shot...October 9th.  It's a ways off but I think she will be able to hang in there until then.  Not complaining...at least we got in !!

A few more pictures of the grandkids.  Noah has just started walking (still need to get a picture of that).  This was Hannah's first time on a horse...she loved it.  After learning all the basics..including grooming and saddling up...and being led around, she was allowed to trot the horse all by herself.  A real natural...unlike her grandmother who got bucked off a horse, over a fence and landed in a water trough.  Needless to say, that was my one and only attempt at horseback riding Embarrassed.  Mattias is still going through his terrible twos...I think they have been exacerbated by competing with an older sister and his baby sister for attention.  Once school starts for Hannah, in September, my daughter will drop baby off with me and spend more one on one time with him.  He's an absolute Angel when his big sister isn't around.

All but two of the kittens are gone to good homes now.  One I am keeping for myself and the other one I am taking care of until the beginning of October.  His new owner still needs eye surgery and will also be moving.  It is going to be difficult to give him up ...I've grown very attached to him...but I will enjoy the both of them for as long as I can.
Hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of summer.

Goodnight and may God Bless Rainbow Sun Red heart

Thank you for explaining this to me. I am really concerned about health care reform and I want to believe the best. I am concerned. I am so glad that there is a logical reason for your mom's having to wait for her treatment.

*Beth*...the delay in mom's treatment is specifically due to the fact that the treatment wing at mom's hospital is undergoing renovations. As for National health care....when it was implemented up here in Canada in the early 1960"s it was wonderful. Today, some forty years later, however, we have many aging/ailing seniors and baby boomers...less tax payers paying into the gov't coffers and health care professionals that are being lured away (specifically to the USA) with promises of highers wages from the HMO's. We have also had our fair share of leaders, both federally and provincially that have not planned well for the future...and some that have mismanaged tax dollars.
So, if Obama is careful and sets up National health care properly (with a vision for the future)...keeps and tight reign on where the tax dollars go...(in otherwords keeps a close eye on what is happening to those countries that have National Health Care...the problems being encountered...and the benefits) your citizens might have a health care system that is workable, affordable, and fair for all....but in all honesty, given the poor economic times....I'm not sure he will have time to pull it off in one term.
