    SEPTEMBER...Really?? Already??

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am having a hard time trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is already September.  Where on earth did the summer go? Confused

I remember the days as a little kid when summertime was soooo looong I could hardly wait to get back to school.  Whatever happened to those days??  Do little kids even experience that anymore....I don't think so.  Life has become so much busier for everyone over the last 5 decades.

Do we even stop and take the time to smell the roses anymore? Red rose

Time....what is that....when did it suddenly speed up?? Clock

Am I the only one that feels this way??

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

In a way, though, for my mom's sake I am glad it is September....it makes the wait for her cortisone shot that much shorter.  Oct 9.   It will be here before we know it.  Already in the middle of August...right along with the school supplies, the stores were stocking up on Halloween Candy....good grief!!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Has it almost been a year since hubby, mom and I went on our Alaska Cruise??  Somedays when I think back on it, or look at pictures it seems like yesterday...othertimes it seems like it was years ago.

    Yeah, I know....I'm babbling...but then I'm allowed....I'm not a spring chicken anymore Wink

Just wanted to let you know that all is well with us.  Mom is hanging in there.  the kids are enjoying their summer.  Hannah is ready to head back to school...today, while the other kids were watching TV, our little scholar was reading a novel.  She has also developed a passion for horseback riding.  Quinn is strong and healthy (after her scary start).  Mattias is starting to grow out of the toddler stage now and is becoming a little boy.  Noah is walking now.  He will be spending Thursday to Monday with us...while his mom and dad take a short vacation to Toronto.

The two remaining kittens (mine and the one I am keeping til October for a friend) are growing like weeds.  Tonight we let them down for a while to explore the house (as we do every night).  They were unusually quiet.  Hubby went into the office to check on them and I heard this "Oh Sh*t"  (hubby doesn't often use expletives).  The kittens had knocked out the window screen and were gone!!  Thankfully we found them at the back of the house, under the deck just before it got dark.  Those two are a handful and a half!!

Well, I have rambled enough for one night.

Gonna leave you with Hugs and Blessings and of course some more pictures of the grandkids.  Also a few pictures taken in the city....the one with the stop signs cracks me up!!

Oh I so enjoyed the pictures. Especially the bubble bath one. They are all so cute. I can tell you are one proud grandma, and I don't blame you a bit. I wonder if a person would have to stop at each and every one of those stop signs lol.
Time sure does fy by. In 2005 my daughter and I went to Hawaii and I'm just like you when I look at the photos. Some days it feels like we just got back home and other days it feels like a wonderful dream.
    Enjoy your day.

I was glad of the explanation of the stop signs. That was a fun thing they did. I wish I could have been there to take a picture myself. That cracked me up!

Great Photos!! I am glad to hear Hannah is riding horses now. The photos of her riding bring back memories for me. I learned at the age of 7 and have loved horses all through my years. I dont get to ride anymore but I do love horses. Seeing a child on a horse always brings a big smile to my face! As you can probably tell, I have moved my blog over to a different place. I have no friends list any more. I figure people can come and go as they wish. Not into the whole friends list thing anyway. Never quite understood it?

I think you are right about people not really stopping to smell the roses any more. I know that I did! since I had the whole Summer to do so. I just hope I can continue to do that while I am working. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend! See you over on Facebook! xo

Summer was never long enough when I was a kid. Now my asthma makes it seem to last forever because I'm stuck inside. I've gone from dreading September to wishing it would hurry up and arrive!

@Michiko...you are absolutely right....having the grandkids around certainly does make the summer go by faster (better than being bored...that's for sure).

@John...can't say as we had a lot of fun this summer....we actually did next to nothing...and yet still the time flew. As for my mom's cortisone shot. It is not just a simple shot in the arm or the back....it is done with a fluoroscopy machine (X-ray with a dye) and they are a series of injections. Must be done very carefully and accurately otherwise it is pretty much a waste. So we need that special procedure room.

@Carole...those stop signs were erected in a Park just for fun (artistic??). Considering the number of people in the city that simply ignore stop signs and shoot through them...they might want to consider installing these things everywhere...LOL...might help!!
@ Simon...aahaa...I know where you are too LOL...oh nuts...now where did I put my address book?? Oh well, that's OK I'll just zoom in on Google earth and watch for the little ginger-haired guy leaving his flat...don't forget to look up and wave!!

Lots of fun pics! Kittens can certainly be a handful. I know how you felt when they escaped outside. The first time I brought home a kitten, it wanted out immediately. The next morning, it came out of the doghouse, stretching and yawning---it knew where it was safe!

"Time just flies when you having fun" they say. I think it flies when your busy. I know the busier I was at work (when working) the sooner the end of the shift seemed to come. Otherwise the night just seem to last forever.
I hardly got to enjoy the summer (if that is what you could call it). Love the pictures. What adorable kids. Love the stop sign one.

By gosh I would stop then! I'd inch ahead an inch and stop again until I had stopped the requisite ten times! I'm glad you took that photo (as I am all that you have here today) that was funny, Does the city give any sort of explanation?
I had Miss Catt when she was a litten, walk out when I was getting the mail. Considering there is a street in the front of the house and a forest in the back of the house..I knew she'd either be killed by cars racing thru (they do..it's all down hill) or lost in the woods. She finally let me catch her. Her only foray out of doors after her rescue 11 years ago
Great news that the family is well and your mom's wait dwindling. Blessings always, and hugs.

My Summer has Flew By, but i and the Wife have been having Fun, and we need this Fun, because next year looks like we are going to be in big trouble with the money thing, But only time will tell so i am trying not to be some Grim!
I am wondering why your Mother has to wait so long to get her Cortisone Shot, when they pass them out like Candy on a Sharp stick in the USA, Almost every time i go to the Doctor's they offer that stuff to me and i say Nope, i am not in that much pain yet!
I really Wish it was June and i have had all the fun that i have had now!
Thanks for sharing the Wonderful Picture's, I to like the Stop signs!
